SHAH ALAM – The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisations (MAPIM) has expressed its deepest condolences to the leadership and members of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, the family of Professor Ameer-ul-Azim and the wider Muslim Ummah following his passing after a prolonged battle with cancer.
MAPIM president Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid described the late Professor Ameer-ul-AzIm, the Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, as a distinguished Islamic thinker, political leader and dedicated servant of the Ummah.
He said the late leader was widely respected for his intellectual conviction, organisational discipline, steadfast adherence to principles and unwavering commitment to serving the people.
“MAPIM highly values his lifelong dedication to the advancement of the Ummah and the noble mission of Jamaat-e-Islami.
“He remained firmly committed to defending Islamic values, strengthening the Islamic movement and promoting justice, dignity and moral leadership in society,” he said in a statement today.
Mohd Azmi said Professor Ameer-ul-Azim’s passing was a great loss not only to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and the people of Pakistan, but also to the wider Muslim Ummah.
He said the late leader’s contributions, sacrifices and principled leadership would continue to inspire Islamic activists and future generations.
MAPIM also prayed that Allah SWT forgives the late Professor Ameer-ul-Azim, accepts all his good deeds, rewards his service to Islam and the Ummah, and grants him the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus.
“May Allah SWT also grant patience, strength and comfort to his family, colleagues, followers and all those who mourn his passing,” he said. – DETIK MALAYSIA
